How Lionel Messi is overrated and over-hyped: Blame FIFA, other causes

I'm not unnecessarily 'finding' the trouble of the Messi-lovers and Messi-addicts in the house. I'm only going to state the facts without any sentiments. Lionel Messi is just an over-hyped and overrated football player. That is all to it. Now listen.
Don't get it twisted, Messi is good. He dribbles very impressively. He understands the goal area. He knows defenders' and goalies' weak points and he exploits them. He's a super-talented kid. And that's all. Take that first.
Is that all to football? Know how to dribble? Know how to score. Is that all football is all about? Then poor FIFA! Football is so dry! No wonder I see people having the gut to rate WWE over football because football has been made dry by FIFA.
For example, FIFA is so distracted by the natural talents of Messi that they forget that:
1. Sports can have stories. And can tell stories. And can pass messages to the world. FIFA are so busy rating Messi over Ronaldo who has traveled the world over, touring, that they forget that a kid grounded in Barcelona for life due to some tax sh'ts is a disgrace to the message of soccer.
2. Football can unite the world. Football (like every other sports game) influences many people's lives more than their religious doctrines. Many people would not inherit their parents' football club. They choose! So FIFA has got to be careful of the politics.
3. Football is about leadership. How much leadership CR7 has displayed in all his tours! Even in his home country. Its not just about scoring and dribbling. Those bore me to h'll. There was a game when the whole team relied so much on Ronaldo. He got injured early. Taken out. But he did not relax on his crouch as the game runs. He joined the coach. So beautiful. That's football. And they won the game!
4. Football has emotions. Full of emotions. Does anyone remember one of the reasons why Ronaldo joined Juventus? He knew the Juventus journey to Turin could be hard especially the #UCL trophy target. But there was a greater reason: passion. Emotion. CR7 scored against Juventus with a bicycle kick and the opponents gave him a standing ovation. Where was FIFA looking? Those are moments to celebrate. I think CR7 is the embodiment of what football represents.
5. Football knows no race. Well, FIFA apparently is trying to curb racism here. But poor job so far. Trust me.
All in all, Messi got those Golden Boots and Ballon D'Ors 'cos FIFA (and maybe other awarding authorities) think he should be rated high. This post is not about comparing Messi and #CR7. Its about the misguided view that Messi is such a hero. While Messi was being awarded, many super-talented Goalies, Defenders and Midfielders were neglected. People who have worked tirelessly to make Messi score easily.
FIFA why? I think they should withdraw most of the awards given to the poor kid Messi and give some to Arteta, Van Vidjk, Buffon and so on. Those positions matter.
In short, Messi is overrated and over-hyped.
And thank you #FIFA for destroying soccer.
As the games resume amidst this #Covid19 pandemic, I wish to see change.
The fights can start now.
