Why not legislate and moderate the show to remove completely the allegedly immoral parts?

I think indeed its a wake-up call. If we don't ban it, then it will create an indecent society and on the family.

The concern of those against the show I believe has to do with the nudity sometimes as well as sexually suggestive scenes. Even if they are not doing anything, it makes you think they are.

That is the problem.
Maybe

A call to ban Big Brother Naija: A good or bad TV show?

There's been a lot of controversy about the Big Brother Naija Reality TV show in Nigeria. While many see it as fun and harmless, many have raised questions as to the negative impact the show has had on the morality of our young generation.

What do you think?

In fact, there is an online petition on Change.org already signed by over 30,000 (and still counting) calling for the discontinuation of this 'immoral' show of shame.

One reference says the show promotes immoral sexual dealings among young Nigerians.

Rated 18+, the show at night features allegedly intimate sessions between strangers-become-housemates.

What about the show?
BBNaija brings together many strangers from various backgrounds and who nownlive together as housemates. Facing many huddles, winning many rewards, and many getting evicted, the show is sponsored by huge money-bag brands. Last year (tagged Double Wahala) it was fueled by Payporte.

Toyear, it's sponsored by Bet9ja! This year it's tagged Pepper Dem!

Are the demerits of the show much more than it's merits (if any)?
