Bestnaija! is a cool place and Social Network where you can make friends, post topics, reply to existing ones, e-mail other members, send private (in-board) messages, write on people's profile/walls, chat, et cetera. How do you stay in control, I mean how do you dictate who sends you mails, PMS, comments on your profile? Simply log on, go to My Profile (Dashboard), then visit Preferences. There are the settings.

For direct shortcuts, see the following:

1. To decide the following, Click Here!
Users can contact me by e-mail, Administrators can e-mail me information, Allow users to send you private messages, Notify me on new private messages, Allow commenting on your profile, Allow only friends to comment on your profile, Allow only friends to view your comments: If set to yes only users that have you on their friends list can view your comments, Notify on comment (Notifications come in form of e-mails!)

2. Click here to upload new picture/avatar or change old avatar.

3.Click here to update your profile for details like: Facebook account, Website, Location, Occupation, Interests, Birthday, Gender etc.

4. Click here to add/edit you signature: A short text/image/link that appears below all your post and in your profile. This is a very powerful networking/advertising tool. :w':

5. Click here to change your e-mail address and/or your password. Very important!

All these setting are in your User Profile Dashboard

Good luck and Godspeed!
