Arsene Wenger insists that Alexis Sanchez's future at Arsenal is still undecided, amid fresh speculation regarding the Chilean's future.

Reports circulating in Italy yesterday claimed that
Manchester United could rival Manchester City for the signature of Sanchez this month after reportedly entering the race to sign the 29-year-old.

It was suggested that Jose Mourinho's side were willing to offer Arsenal more than their city rivals in an attempt to beat them to the Chilean during this transfer window.

The former Barcelona forward's contract is due to expire at the season, but despite increased speculation regarding his star player, Arsene Wenger insists that Sanchez's future is far from decided.

"Nothing is really concrete at the moment. You conclude [that Manchester United are also interested] - but I don't want to give you the wrong information.
Nothing is decided one way or the other," he said.
"Normally he should stay here until the end of the season but we shall see."
Wenger was also asked whether he'd rather play for Mourinho or City boss Pep Guardiola.
"If I was a player I would play for the club where I am and with 100% commitment," he added.

The Arsenal boss confirmed that the club would be in the market for a replacement, should Sanchez leave in January.

"Do we find the same player, certainly not? There is always a way to find a balance.
"If it happens we have to find a different balance.
"I don’t rule it out. Not at the back, in midfield or up front. We are open, we are in the market, we are active.
"This transfer market at the moment is very difficult. Things change very quickly."
