To tackle insecurity and crime, the south-western state governors came up with the Operation Amotekun initiative. Its to serve as a paramilitary group, well equipped to complement the efforts of the police and army in combating crime and insecurity in the region.

After so much has been invested - fleets of automobiles, human resources, money and training - it came as a shocker that the FG of Nigeria was quoted as saying: The movement was illegal.

Reactions trailed all the social and news media both in Nigeria and beyond.

For me sincerly speaking l think there is sinister motive behind it. FG should thorougky investigate it.
