Truth is: that's an undeniable fact. I've not really been there. I've never worn any crowns. Or maybe I actually am. Or maybe soon. Maybe not.
Or better, maybe we're all wearing one form of crown or the other. Whatever the case, this will inspire you.
I'm certain I've come close to people who do. I adore these crown wearers. I appreciate them. I understudy them. I pick their good examples. But trust me: it ain't easy wearing that crown.
Uneasy lies their heads because:
1. The crown is quite heavy as it's made of gold. The glitter of gold comes at a cost. Gold is quality and it's a heavy metal.
2. A lot of people look up to them. So, they can't afford to fail their people. People trust them. They trust their competence. And as such, thou shalt not fail!
3. They're conscious that failure or giving up is not an excuse. This gives them mental strain. And as such, the crown is uneasy.
4. They bear the burdens of not just themselves, but also of others. Crown wearers who are true leaders do not just think about themselves alone. No. They stand for others and bear their burdens. They take responsibility.
5. They not only show the way, they lead the way. They come first face to face with the dangers of the way. They take the risks for the followers. What more weight would you add to that crown?
6. There's no number 6. At least for now.
Final words:
ARISTOTLE wrote: He who has never learned to obey cannot be a good commander.
Meaning: In order to grow to become a good leader, you need to start first by being a good follower, a loyal and obedient follower at that.
Stay cool guys.
Love all y'all.
