7.5 Earthquake Hits Mexico’s Pacific Coast On Anniversary Of Previous Quakes

ALL OF MEXICO SHOOK! Crazy footage of the 7.5 magnitude earthquake in Colima!

At least one person has died and buildings have been damaged after a 7.5magnitude earthquake hit Mexico.

Workers were evacuated in downtown Mexico City - just moments after people gathered to commemorate the anniversary of two other deadly quakes.

The horrifying murmurs come exactly five years to the day after a deadly tremor killed 370 people in the same region.

President Andrés Manuel López Obrador said via Twitter that the secretary of the navy told him one person was killed in the port city of Manzanillo, Colima when a wall at a mall collapsed.

Groups of locals hugged and comforted one another in the streets following the mighty tremor - as some had spent the morning attending memorials for those who had died in previous seismic events.

An hour before the 7.5 earthquake today, quake alarms rang out in a nationwide simulation - marking major quakes that struck on the same date in 1985 and 2017.

The earthquake hit 29 miles south-southeast of La Placita de Morelos in the state of Michoacan and was at a depth of 6.2 miles, USGS said.

National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration confirmed that there is currently a tsunami threat for the coast of Mexico.

Horrific footage recorded by people caught up in the quake showed fans on ceilings rocking in the tremors as closet doors slammed open and shut.
