I am sure I am not the only one who has discovered this. Over 8 out of 10 graduates I meet these days either Cannot write a good CV / Resume or they do not have one.

What this implies: it's like nit having the right tool needed for a task. Such tasks rarely succeed. Now graduates look for jobs and we know the role the curriculum vitae and/or resume plays in this job hunt and career search. But in a situation where many of these graduates lack the competence, it shows we may be producing half-baked graduates in the first place.

If possible, CV / Resume writing should form part of curriculum in the university or NYSC service year. My suggestion.

Similar to this is computer literacy. Many graduates can operate their phones but cannot handle a Word or Excel document right. These are not good signs.

I did something in my NYSC service year that helped me till today. I will share that in this thread.

A lot going wrong with our education system... Half baked graduated is what our universities system have been churning out..I recently visited the NYSC zonal office to request for Mass communication graduates for their services in a media house.. was shocked that the so-called upcoming media personel couldn't put one correct sentences together... I wonder what they will articulate in their CV going into the Labour market..

The two lacks are resounding: writing skills generally and then computer literacy.

It keep on rehappening..... It's Nigeria, the country without a head
It was pride that changed angels into devils; it is humility that makes men as angels.
