Many of us are guilty of this...

Is it OK to tell a white lie in a job interview?

I'm applying to a job where management experience is required. But I'm currently not managing anyone. I was supposed to be managing a team, but my manager failed to honor this part of the contract. Is it OK to tell potential employers that I have management experience? I have faith in my skills.
Answer:
Imagine this…

Recruiter, “Do you have management experience leading people?”
You, “Yes, I do!”
Recruiter, “Great! Tell me about your team. How many people? What were their titles?”
You, “Oh, 10 people, all Representatives.”
Recruiter, “Cool! We are looking for someone with previous experience. Tell me about a time you had to correct performance?”
You, “Uh. I do that all the time.”
Recruiter, “Great! Tell me a specific situation. Tell me what happened, what you said, what their response was, etc.”

Recruiters are trained to go deep. To get to actual situations and scenarios of when you’ve done something. I do not recommend you go down this path. It could quickly turn bad.

You can lie, but on two conditions only:

1. You don't need the j0b. You're just loofing around.
2. You don't plan to build a career in the new company or you don't plant to work for long, maybe for just a month.

Then you can lie.

To lie in a job interview isn't adviceable, but it is sometimes helpful.

It depends on the type of interview you are going to.

Is it an Oil and Gas interview? Or a teaching interview?

It all depends on the exact one you are going to.

No company accepts liars, but without you telling them, they won't know you are lying.

Not all the questions been answered by some job seekers in an interview hall are all true.

It is either those desperate job seekers who talk everything, to entangle themselves.

Truthfulness is good but sometimes it is bad too, remember everything that has advantage also have disadvantage.

As for me, i went for an Oil and Gas interview and to be truthful, i answered all the questions with experience, which means i took advice from someone who has gone for an Oil and Gas interview before.

On a more lighter note i think some questions ought to be answered with care or else you lose the job.

I didn't say you should lie, but atleast show a little bit of experience and style.

These days interviewers are something else, they disqualify applicants with just little mistakes, so with such, you should be courging with care.

So our amiable and galant eMade pls get my point and stop questioning me, i'm i clear?

Or else i will come to your house right now, abeg JOE tell her. Lol!
