ISWAP Fighters Kills Many Nigerian Soldiers.



Recently, some hoodlums suspected to be members of ISWAP (Islamic State-backed faction of Boko Haram) allegedly killed many Nigerian soldiers in Yobe State.

A statement released by ISWAP revealed that soldiers were killed recently during an ambush on Nigerian troops in Yunusari Local Government Area of Yobe state.

According to SaharaReporters, the insurgents also said that two SUVs were captured from the soldiers.

Lai Mohammed Speaks On Insecurity.



The Minister of Information and Culture (Lai Mohammed) has assured Nigerians that the country is safe with the federal government led by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Speaking on Thursday when he received Oba Adeola Adeniyi Ajakaiye and his entourage at his office in Abuja on Thursday, Mohammed said that the country is in safe hands despite the rising insecurity affecting the country.

Mohammed, who was quoted in a statement on the ministry’s website on Thursday, asked leaders at all levels to give the people message of hope instead of making comments that can only aggravate tension in the country.

However, Mohammed advised citizens not to listen to predictions about Nigeria because they will never come to pass.


Fani-Kayode Advises Gen Yahaya (New Chief Of Army Staff).

Femi Fani-Kayode (former Aviation Minister) has reacted to the appointment of Major General Farouk Yahaya as the New Chief of Army Staff by President Muhammadu Buhari.


Fani-Kayode urged Yahaya to take the battle to the enemy as he assumes his new role.

Congratulating the new COAS, the former minister urged him to “crush” those behind insecurity in Nigeria.

It's important to know Gen Yahaya's appointment was disclosed by Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu, Acting Director Defence Information, Defence Headquarters, in a statement.

Some Sponsors Of IPOB And ESN Are In Our Custody-IGP.

Recently, IGP Alkali Usman (The acting Inspector-General of Police) said that some of the sponsors/financiers of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and ESN are in their custody.

IGP said that police were looking at the involvement of suspected IPOB/ESN sponsors in their custody and those outside the country, adding that after a thorough investigation, they would be arraigned in court.

He also said that the police have recorded successes against secessionists and suspected criminals in the southeast, adding that the suspect in the police custody can not be prosecuted and brought to justice because of the ongoing strike by judiciary workers.
