In the world today, petroleum product have
become an essential commodity, it is a
means to keeping many mechanical gadgets
running. Cars, bikes, engines in companies
and generators.
This list can go on and on, almost
uncountable. This has made many countries
who have oil, rich. The demand for this
product is worldwide, as long as there are
mechanical gadgets, petroleum products will
be needed.
Realistically, the world is switching to more
electrical and solar systems, the fact still
remains that for a long time, petroleum
enabled machines will continue to run.
Recently, there was a hike in petroleum
price in Nigeria, a country blessed with
petroleum resources and there have been
complains. If you see how much it is being
sold in other countries, you will realize that
it is cheap enough in Nigeria.
Looking at global petrol prices, a country like
Hong Kong sells a liter for about 864 naira,
Venezuela and Iran sells cheaply at 7 and 25
Naira respectively.
In Togo, it is sold at
almost 300 Naira, China and Ghana sell
above 300 Naira. We should be thankful in
Nigeria.
