Nigeria's Electric Power Problem Killing Youths' Dreams

About a week ago, the Manufacturing Association of Nigeria, MAN released a press statement staying that the epileptic power problem in the country is stiffing life out of manufacturing in Nigeria. That's a fact. First, let's see what poor power supply does to any business:
1. Increased cost: this will reduce profitability and reduce probability of survival, especially startups. Alternative power sources like generator and solar are just too costly
2. Truncated operation and process flow.
For many business models, inconsistent power supply is just anti-progress. You will agree if you're an entrepreneur.
3. Unfriendly business terrains.
Now, let's talk of young Nigerians with bright ideas.
THE STORY OF MY FRIEND
Long story short: my friend left Nigeria for Ghana due to the unfriendly business environment here, from bad power supply and more, only to succeed massively in Accra! That's after 3 failed ventures in Naija! End of story.
In this age of online businesses, we need reliable electric power supply. That's a fact. Even other businesses and startups need reliable power.
Government needs to do more.
I always say it: if a regime can maintain status quo in other sectors but solve power problem only in 4 years, I'll vote them back in again.
Nigeria deserves better. We deserve better. I'm so disappointed in Nigeria's government and selfish leaders.
We deserve a #BetterNaija
