Let's Get Real. People Go To School To Learn How To Read & Write. Nothing Else. By The Time You Leave Matric You Have No Idea About Money. No Idea About Entrepreneurship. No Idea About Coding. No Idea About Farming. No Idea About App Creation. No Idea About Life. Nothing. No Skills No Nothing. Only Theories & Nonsense About Adolf Hitler & His Friends.

Great topic. Now let me lend my voice.

Being a waste of time or not will depend on a couple of factors.

But let's get one fact straight: no single man can know everything like you listed. However, after schooling well, it is expected that a learned person has some knowledge and useful skills to make them useful, employable and able to generate wealth and to impact knowledge profitably.

Inability to do these is the problem.

Now it depends on the school, the course of study, the person himself, the curriculum, the economy (some economies like Naija do no appreciate all the skills and knowledge of nurses for example. But they are valued overseas) and many more factors.

Schooling is not a waste of time.

There are benefits. Like you said, you learn to read and write (skills necessary for business, management and relations and business operations), schooling also boosts your ego and self confidence.

But do not expect too much from a graduate. You are there for the theories. The practicals await you outside.

So the real world outside school is another school in itself. Just that in this new school, you never graduate. :D:

The onus is on all of us to grab all highgincome skills and knowledge we can grab and make ourselves quality and succeed.

Schooling is advantageous. But do not expect just schooling to make you all ready for survival and success. You must do more.

Think about this,
if you're been given all your school fees and every kobo of the money to invest in a business,
Just think about it
