The ORide is just like I'm not new to Uber. Each time I visited Lagos, I relied heavily on Uber services for my local transport.

So when I saw the concept of OPay built similar to Uber, I said - wow, this must make sense. I tried my first ORide today and it was - AMAZING!

Kudos to the brain behind OPay!

Here is my experience in details.

First, I downloaded the app to my Android phone. Installed quite very fast and the app runs very smooth. There are many features in the app that make it very robust for my purposes.

The app's real name is OPay. Its a payment app that can store your funds in its ewallet. And you can use the fund or your card to pay for many services like utilities, ORide (I'm coming back to this), make transfers to other OPay users or directly to banks, OFood, Mobile Data, OKash (loan), OBus, OWealth, TV, Airtime and many more!

You agree its very robust.

My ORide Experience
After creating my profile tied to my phone number, I funded my wallet using my Visa Card. It was seamless. I added N400 for a test.

Now, my plan was to take a ride!

The app's navigation relies on GPS system maps and your device's location - just like Uber.

I permitted the app to use my location and I requested a ride to a popular hotel in town. Just like Uber services, a rider picked my request and within moments, he's with me at the pickup location.

Screenshots will be added shortly.

In summary, I paid N112 for the ride and payment was taken from my ewallet. Very smooth. I think I enjoyed some discounts.

OPay works in my city!

Cheers.

PS: The rider sounded very polite and professional. I gave him 5 star!

Photo time!

This looks good. Works in Ibadan. Don't know which other city enjoys this OPay thing.
