be say di five west African nations wey dey
sit for Waec examinations dey consider to
shift di West African Secondary School
Certificate Examinations(WASSCE) for
August.
Di Minister of State for Education,
Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba, yarn say di
ministry don meet wit WAEC pipo dem on
Monday and dem don agree to consult wit
four oda kontries to come up wit a new
date for di exam.
Secondary school graduating students wey
live for five English-speaking kontries for
West Africa na dem dey write di WASSCE,
wey West African Examinations Council
(WAEC) dey organise.
Dem postpone dis year exam for April sake
of di coronavirus outbreak. Dem come move
am to May but dat one sef no work.
Nigeria bin announce say student go write
di August- September exam but later di
education minister, Adamu Adamu bin do u-
turn and announce say Nigerian student no
go participate for di exam.
Nigeria ministry of education also don give
school owners till 29th of July, 2020 to meet
goment specific guidelines to reopen
schools.
As Nigeria don pull out from WAEC 2020.

Di Nigerian goment bin release guideline on
di 13th of July wey all school gatz follow and
implement before dem go open dia doors to
school pikin dem.
All school owners gatz prepare to ensure
say dem follow di guidelines from A to Z di
minister explain.
Although di education ministry release
guideline plus, don give time frame for
school to comply wit di guideline, no body
don know date wey school go resume.
But di ogbonge minister say di education
ministry go fit come up wit specific date for
school to reopen only if e consult wit all
stakeholders and review every situation.
Dis na why di minister want schools to self-
assessment and send feedback to State
Ministries of Education, on or before 29th
July, 2020.

including Commissioners of Education for all
di states of di federation, the Association of
Private School Owners of Nigeria,(APSON),
National Association of Proprietors of
Private Schools,(NAPPS), Provosts of Colleges

Chancellors of Universities, some State
Governors, and development partners." im
