Record shows that there have been consecutive decline in Original content broadcasting on Facebook by 21 percent, and 15 percent as of mid-2016. Where most Original contents are now shared on facebook-owned Instagram and its rival Snapchat.
According to Facebook's spokesperson: “We are always working to help people share and connect with their friends and family on Facebook in ways that are authentic to them. Voice Clips gives people a new medium through which to express themselves.”
Voice clips will allow users to share compelling, deeply personal content. This feature will relieve people the stress of editing long texts and also bailout those with poor smartphone camera for video status.
Meanwhile, Facebook already offers private Voice Clip sharing through Messenger. This voice status feature can be accessed by taping “Add Voice Clip” from the status update composer menu where other options like photo uploads, location checkins, etc., can be found.
