The scene of this world is changing. Nothing is constant, except change itself. The consequences? Things, standards, expectations change daily too!

As regards CV and resume writing, a standard that seemed to be acceptable and world-class last year could be out of date this year. Which means every job seeker and CV must conform with latest standards of Curriculum Vitae writing standards and quality.

The requirement is to research well and make your CV up-to-date with latest techniques and styles, as well as adapt it to the company as well as the position you are applying for. Whether you're a new jobseeker in the job market, or simply looking for greener pastures, your resume is the key to connecting you with potential employers. But sometimes knowing how to present the best version of yourself to a recruiter can be difficult.

Stay tuned for more.

Which means all these copy-and-paste style would be suicide if the format us old-school. Even though long-leg is the order of the day in naija, if you are good, your light would still shine.

So dear job seekers, keep your heads up. Even when the road is hard, never give up.

Your resume/CV is an advertisement of yourself, nothing more, nothing less. And your CV/resume is a tool with one specific purpose: to win an invitation for test/interview. If that purpose is not fulfilled, then your CV/resume is not an effective one.

The CV/resume is not just about what you have done/achieved in the past, it should showcase your potentials and what you intend to achieve if employed too.

An effective resume that wins you an interview or employment test is always adapted to the situation (company, or job role), is appropriately formatted and well languaged, creative, checked and rechecked for errors and well timed.

Good luck guys.
