Nigeria has recorded 566 new cases of coronavirus, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 25,133.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control made this known on Monday via its Twitter handle.
It added that a total of 573 patients have died of coronavirus-related complications in the country.
NCDC said, “On the 29th of June 2020, 566 new confirmed cases and 8 deaths were recorded in Nigeria.

” The 566 new cases are reported from 20 states- Lagos (166), Oyo (66), Delta (53), Ebonyi (43), Plateau (34), Ondo (32), FCT (26), Ogun (25), Edo (24), Imo (15), Bayelsa (13), Benue (12), Gombe (11), Kano (11), Kaduna (11), Osun (8), Nasarawa (7), Borno (5), Katsina (2), Anambra (2).”

Globally, the novel coronavirus has killed at least 502,599 people since the outbreak emerged in China last December, according to a tally compiled by AFP at 07pm on Monday.
At least 10,208,540 cases of coronavirus have been registered in 196 countries and territories. Of these, at least 5,094,900 are now considered recovered.
Europe overall has 196,428 deaths from 2,660,794 cases, the United States and Canada 134,538 deaths from 2,667,981 infections, Latin America and the Caribbean 112,321 deaths from 2,491,030 cases, Asia 33,689 deaths from 1,251,153 cases, Middle East 15,819 deaths from 743,172 cases, Africa 9,671 deaths from 385,166 cases, and Oceania 133 deaths from 9,244 cases.
