We have seen that so many people are addicted to television especially the female folks and its important we look for a working ways to stop or limit the addiction. Television addiction comes when someone spend more time watching a program or show when he or she suppose be doing another thing.
Television addiction has become a norm, especially with the ability to binge watch endless television shows or films thanks to the invention of satellite and cable TV; enabling us to choose from hundreds of different channels. Though television in moderation is not harmful, too much viewing can severely impact your life. Watching excessive TV can result in eating too much unhealthy foods, lack of exercise, neglecting work and/or relationships.

This are ways we can overcome television addiction.

1 Set time :
Doing this may require self discipline but as time gos on you will master it. Set time that you can spend on television daily and make show you maintain it, you can set 3 - 4 hours a day to watch TV and you can set this time when you know that you are less busy, maybe in the night.

2 Cut the shows you watch in half. Assess which of the shows you watch currently can be cut from your list. Perhaps you do not enjoy some of these much lately or feel that they are a waste of your time. Cut them and continue watching those that you are most interested in.
If you don’t want to watch the show but still want to follow the story, you can read the synopses online or you can watch the summary clip.

3 Remove those channels that you are addicted to.
If possible during subscription remove those channels that you know you are addicted to. You are not only trying to cure your TV addiction but are also saving your money.

4 Don't put on the television immediately you come back from work or school
Though it can be tempting to use television as a way to unwind after a long, boring day at work or school, use those first few moments at home more strategically. Phone a friend, meditate, or exercise. Cook yourself a healthy meal or take a walk. Taking this first step can make it easier for you to resist television later in the day.

5 Don't watch television when you are eating
Focus on your food. Another way to break your television addiction is to avoid eating while watching TV. You do not want to associate everything that you do, like eating or unwinding, with the television. Instead, focus on eating, savoring and enjoying your food.
You might also lose weight as you will be more aware of your eating and focused on how full you feel.

You can add yours
