Actually, there are more than 11 factors to consider when buying a laptop but here are the most important factors to consider.

There was a time when I was in your shoes, I don't know what it takes to make the right choice when buying a laptop then. I bought a laptop then all because I like the look and the color of the laptop, not knowing that the laptop is a huge headache.

I have to get a new laptop then after I tried everything possible but the laptop is just a problem for me. So if you don't want this to happen to you, you have to learn from my mistakes and get yourself a better laptop.

When choosing the laptop to get for yourself, there are some things to consider to make the right choice.

1. Budget

Everyone have the ability to purchase a laptop but how much can you really spend on a laptop. For instance, if you are a student, your purchasing ability will be lower than a person who has a decent salary.

It's possible that you have seen a laptop you longed for, what if the budget of the laptop is more than what you can afford?

So when you are buying a laptop, don't forget to consider the budget if it's affordable for you.

2. Processor

If you don't want your laptop to hang whenever you try to multitask then you have to get one with good processor. The CPU defines the speed of processing task.

So you'll need to buy a laptop with high processor if you don't want your laptop to hang whenever you multitask. Majority of laptop come with an Intel and AMD CPU brand.

3. RAM

This is one of the best factor to consider when buying a laptop. In the old days, 4GB is actually more than enough then. These days, 8GB is recommended as a minimum.

For heavy-users, 16GB is likely a way to go. For gamers, 32GB will definitely do the best work for you.

You can run a lot of applications at once without hanging on a laptop with bigger RAM.

4. Hard Disk

This where all your data are kept including videos, photos, documents, and other system files.

Small laptop generally have about 320GB of space, you can buy a laptop with more space if you have a lot of files to store. There are laptops with 500GB and 1TB space, just make sure that you get one with enough storage space.

5. Screen Size

The screen size depends on what you use your laptop for. For instance, if you use your laptop for playing games and watching videos then you should buy a laptop with bigger screen size of 17 inches or more.

For those who use their mostly in listening to music and web surfing then you should buy a laptop with small screen size of 14.1 inches.

6. Graphic Processor

If you're a gamer or you like watching Netflix movies and TV a lot then you should consider buying a laptop with good and better graphic processor, otherwise you'll end up watching pixelated videos.

Try to go for a laptop with HD and Full HD support, those laptops are good.

7. Battery life

This is one of the important factor to consider when buying a laptop. If you work on your laptop almost all the time then you should consider buying a laptop with good battery life.

If you don't want your laptop to shutdown while you're still making use of it then opt in for a better battery life when buying a laptop.

8. Design

Everyone like a laptop with good design. I aforesaid that I bought a laptop with a good design regardless of other important factors.

However, you should buy a laptop with a good design and don't forget to consider the other important factors when buying a laptop.

More than half of laptops comes with screens that can be twisted to 180 degrees and some comes with screens that can be removed and use as a tablet.

9. Keyboard Quality

Check the keyboard before you buy any laptop. Buy a laptop with a comfortable keyboard and it's easily to navigate.

Don't buy a laptop that some of the keys are missing, get one with high quality keyboard and everything you need are there. If your duty is typing then don't overlook a laptop with good keyboard.

10. Fingerprint Reader and TPM

This is actually good if you really need a laptop with good security options. A password can be guess by people around you or someone else. But only a few people can bypass fingerprint.
